Nate Cook is the lead pastor at Community. He also received his call to ministry here as a volunteer youth minister. After serving for 14 years in youth ministry he returned home to Community to be the lead pastor in December 2009. Nate has been married to his wife, Paula, since 1995. They have two sons, Nathan and Tyler, who are also both in the ministry. Nathan currently serves as the youth pastor here at Community! In 2022, Nate became an adjunct professor at Southern Nazarene University as well. He love preaching and teaching about the transforming love of God!
Nate’s dream for Community is that we would be disciples of Christ who share God’s love with every person we interact with throughout the week. He loves that Community is a diverse group of people who genuinely love one another! There is a casual, family-like atmosphere at Community!
In his free time, Nate likes to explore OKC with his wife on date nights, play pickleball, and has even begun performing in the local comedy scene through improv and (just recently) stand-up comedy.
Nathan has been serving as the Youth Pastor at Midwest City Community since the Fall of 2019.
Nathan attended Southern Nazarene University in the fall of 2017 where he played basketball his freshman year and served in the ministry intern program for all 4 years. During his time at SNU, Nathan married his wife Cobey on June 8th, 2019. Nathan graduated from Southern Nazarene University in 2021 with a degree in Pastoral Ministry.
Nathan is very thankful for his family and their roots in the Nazarene Church.
Nathan loves his MWC Community Family. The people at Midwest City Community have always encouraged him as he has continued to grow as a leader and a preacher. Nathan enjoys getting the opportunity to work with students. He also enjoys preaching. Nathan looks forward to a life long service to God in ministry!
Brent has served at Community Church of the Nazarene since February 2011. During his eight-year tenure as the Youth Pastor, he played a pivotal role in shaping the lives of young individuals. Now, he shifts his focus to college and young adults, while still actively participating in worship services and assisting with various “tech” related tasks at the church. Brent tied the knot with his wife, Amy Summers, in May 2024. Brent’s move to the Oklahoma City area in August 2009 marked a significant milestone in his life. Prior to this, he had interned in the Youth Program at the First Church of the Nazarene in Borger, Texas. When he’s not at church, Brent finds joy in activities like camping, playing Dungeons and Dragons, and exploring the diverse culinary offerings of Oklahoma City.
Morgan Elmore, is the proud mother of two wonderful children, Izzy and Hunter Elmore. Being the youngest of five children, she was raised in the Nazarene church as a pastor's daughter. She has always had a deep passion for caring for and supporting others. This passion guides her work as a Massage Therapist and her involvement with Rescue Hill Nazarene Compassionate Ministry Center, where she is the overnight care taker for females who are escaping sex trafficking. Additionally, she has the privilege of serving as the volunteer Worship Leader here at Community. At the age of 13, she felt a calling from God to serve in the church and to show love to His people. When she is not working or taking care of her children, she loves being outdoors, whether it's hiking, walking, jogging, gardening, or spending time near any body of water.
