Getting To Know Each other
We know meeting someone for the first time can be intimidating, and attending a new church for the first time can be nerve-racking. We want to help make your first experience at Community Church a great one!
Service Times
Community Church of the Nazarene meets every weekend on Sundays at 10200 SE 15th St, Midwest City, OK 73130.
- Worship Service: Sundays at 10am
- Connection Classes: Sundays at 11am
What Can I Expect?
How long is Sunday worship service?
In total, worship service is about 60 minutes in length. Service begins with the worship team leading the congregation in music. Song lyrics are projected onto the screens so you can sing along and/or engage with worship however you feel most comfortable. After the music portion of the service is complete, our pastor will share an encouraging and hope-filled message about Jesus.
Whats the culture like at Community?
Sundays at Community are exciting, casual, and relaxed. Come as you are and expect to feel welcomed as our guest.
What about my kids?
We believe that kids should have a blast at church every single week – and at Community Kids, we make this a priority. We provide services for kids of all ages.
- Nursery: Infants and toddlers, 6 weeks to age 3, receive loving care and playtime fun in Community’s Nursery. Upon arrival, parents check-in at the Community Kids Check-In Station.
- Kids’ Clubhouse: Children from 4 years old to 5th grade join their families in the Worship Center for Family Worship before being dismissed to Kids’ Clubhouse mid-service. During Kids’ Clubhouse, children gather with friends for small group discipleship experiences where they dig deeper into God’s Word.
- Youth: On Sunday Mornings, students look at the whole of scripture as one big story and how it connects to their own lives. We join and participate in the worship service at 10:00 a.m., then meet in the Gym for youth-only time afterwards.
Frequently Asked Questions
What are your services like?
Our services include singing, prayer, sacraments, and Bible teaching. We sing as an act of worship to God–feel free to sit, stand, or dance. This is followed by a 25 to 30 minute message and Holy Communion.
What do you have for kids?
Since children are an important part of the church, children of all ages are welcome in our worship service. We also provide classes/care for kids aged 6 weeks through 5th grade. For more information on Community Kids, click here.
We televise the worship service to The Commons so that parents with wiggly kids can still feel connected to the worship service if they need to step outside of the sanctuary. There is space where babies/toddlers can move around and parents can still listen to the sermon.
What about youth?
On Sunday mornings, students from 5th grade through high school join the congregation for worship. They can then attend a relevant Bible study with others their age from 11–noon. There are also Wednesday night activities. For more information about youth, click here.
What do I wear?
The clothing you’ll see worn at Community is as varied as the members of the congregation. Most people wear jeans or dressy casual attire, but we do have members who prefer the traditional “Sunday Best.” Wear what you’d like! Is not life more important than clothing? Your presence is what’s important to us. Come and join us.
Where can I park?
We have parking on 3 sides of the building with designated handicapped parking spaces.
Do you have coffee?
Yes! We have a full coffee bar offering hot or iced coffee, and Italian sodas. Our coffee bar is located in the lobby, one of our volunteers would be happy to serve you!
